PHOTO SHOOT

As a gift, we have hired a professional photographer to provide you with a headshot for ministry use. Please plan to arrive camera-ready on Tuesday morning, February 4.

We recommend wearing solid colors or avoiding patterns that are too busy. Please note that we will be working within a very tight timeframe to photograph the entire cohort. For this reason, it is important that you arrive fully prepared, be on time, and wait with your community group. Your group will take individual photos as well as one group photo with your entire community group.

UNDERSTANDING THE ROTATIONS

Each community group has a specific schedule. Your group’s schedule is listed in the drop-down menu below.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please visit the “Got Questions” page or connect with one of our team members. We are happy to serve and support you.

At the bottom of this page, you will find a description of the five core elements of the afternoon rotation schedule. You will remain with your community group and rotate through these areas on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Your attentiveness to time is important and greatly appreciated. To keep things simple, the rotation schedule is the same on both days.

If you need to step away at any point during the rotations, please let your coach know and stay in communication with them. While we encourage you to remain engaged, we also recognize that the Lord may be doing something you need time to process. You are welcome to step into the worship center at any time during the afternoon. If you reenter a session, please be mindful and respectful of your group.

leadership studio.

The Leadership Studio is a lovely space dedicated to two meaningful and intentional conversations. It is designed to foster connection, reflection, and thoughtful dialogue within your community group, creating an environment where leaders can listen well, engage deeply, and grow together. On Tuesday afternoon, your coach, who has faithfully invested in you over the past six months, has prepared a heartfelt message, guided conversation, and ministry time specifically for you and your group.

On Wednesday afternoon, Lynn Cooper, a co-pastor from Decatur, Illinois, with many years of pastoral experience, will share a leadership principle and facilitate an interactive conversation. This session is designed to invite insight, encourage honest dialogue, and offer practical application that can be carried into your leadership and ministry context.

mental health triage.

Facilitated by Dr. Angie Richey in partnership with Katie Gale, this highly insightful session is designed to equip participants with essential skills to thoughtfully assess and respond to mental health needs within their ministry and leadership scope. This session will explore how to recognize signs of distress, establish healthy boundaries, and offer appropriate support while maintaining personal well-being.

The session will provide practical tools for guiding others toward mental and spiritual wellness, including pathways for professional referrals, self-care practices, and ongoing support. Each day will include teaching and review, personal reflection, and group sharing, along with a practicum focused on spiritual warfare and hands-on engagement to address individual needs and emotional burdens within community groups. This session fosters a compassionate and discerning approach to mental health triage, empowering leaders to serve effectively while honoring their own limits and responsibilities.

calling statements.

Before arriving at the Summit, you should have completed, or be close to completing, your calling statement. The activities in this session are twofold. The primary goal is to provide each participant with the opportunity to present their calling statement to someone who has not been part of their formation process. Each participant will meet personally with their coach and one of our Calling Statement coaches, under the oversight of Sarah Miller, with support from Becky Casteel of our Hawai‘i Cohort.

While these one-on-one conversations take place, the remainder of the community group will engage in discussion at the creative station. Art supplies will be available for those who enjoy “talking and creating” as part of the process. Table conversations will center on values and calling statements, creating space for reflection, insight, and shared learning. Alicia Ramos, who serves as a co-pastor with her husband in Idaho, will help facilitate this portion of the session. The atmosphere is intentionally relaxed, fun, and creatively engaging.

Calling statements will be publicly declared during our closing session on Wednesday evening. This moment marks a meaningful milestone in your journey and a shared celebration of the work God has done during your time together.

counseling.

In-person counseling appointments are available during your free-time.

Please visit the counseling page for additional details and to reserve an appointment. Space is limited, and we are unable to offer counseling appointments to every participant. We encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible.

Please note that counseling appointments are scheduled to take place after the presbytery and the Mental Health Triage session. If either session runs long and you have a confirmed counseling appointment, you may step out as needed.
